Our Mission

The mission of the Dean of Students Office is to contribute to the educational mission of the University by initiating programs and services that support an environment conducive to academic and personal development. The staff is committed to:
  • advocating for students;
  • challenging students to accept responsibility for their choices and holding students accountable;
  • educating and consulting with faculty, staff, and students;
  • coordinating processes that uphold community values;
  • proactively addressing and responding to crisis; and
  • providing opportunities for students to develop critical thinking skills.
